Our Story: From Dirt to Treasure

Once we haul the raw material back to the home studio, the real craft begins.
Nothing gets slapped together or sent out the door untouched. Every single piece goes through a labor-intensive journey:
-
Shaping & Cutting: Breaking down raw, weathered stone to find its core grain and character.
-
The Tumbling & Sanding: Running multi-stage rock tumblers and putting in the hours with precision Dremel work and meticulous diamond sanding pads.
-
The Finish: Bringing out the natural depth, color, and a glass-like finish by hand—no shortcuts, just proper work.
The Resin & The Details
Alongside our raw and polished stones, we handcraft functional epoxy and UV resin goods—embedding hand-polished Australian stones and river rocks into custom keyrings, square resin coasters, and bottle openers. Every single pour is done with the same care and attention as the stones we cut.
Handcrafted, Not Mass-Produced
To be honest, I used to give my partner absolute hell for always looking at rocks. I thought he was out of his mind. I didn't get it at all.
Then one day out detecting—which was his hobby, not mine, because I couldn't stand it—I found a log of petrified wood. I loved it. Found a few nice little stones near it, took them home, washed them, got curious, and started sanding. And I was in total shock. I still am.
I felt so silly realizing I had spent my whole life thinking rocks were just rocks, completely blind to how incredible the earth actually is. That's why I do this. I am completely obsessed with watching the transformation—taking a rough, weathered rock that I once would have walked right past, and turning it into something stunning that I want to show everyone.
That’s why I started Nature’s Stash: to share this with people who are exactly like I once was. I want to show others how amazing the earth really is, be proud of the work it takes to bring that hidden beauty out, and let people have a piece of it in their homes. A daily reminder that we truly have no idea what’s locked right beneath the surface, and that the earth is infinitely more incredible than most of us ever realize.
Why We Do It
The Mud & The Mid North Coast
Nature’s Stash isn't built out of a corporate warehouse or a spreadsheet of bulk overseas imports. Every single raw stone, piece of petrified wood, and crystal in the shop starts out in the dirt right here around Bucca and the Mid North Coast.
We spend our time out exploring the bushland, historical goldfields, and rugged creek beds—fossicking, hunting, and hand-selecting raw specimens straight from the source. It’s about getting out into the elements and digging up those hidden treasures right beneath the surface that everyone else walked right past.
