The Story of Bucca Jasper
Bucca is a small, historic area in northern New South Wales with a rich mining past. In the late 1800s, miners flocked to the district for gold and copper, carving out a chapter of history that still lingers in old shafts, maps, and local tales.
But beneath the soil, another treasure formed—Bucca Jasper.
This jasper is striking, with earthy reds, deep browns, ochres, and golden streaks that reflect the rugged Australian landscape. Some pieces reveal swirling bands and patterns, each as unique as a fingerprint. Unlike ordinary jasper, Bucca Jasper carries the soul of its birthplace—born from volcanic and sedimentary processes that fused minerals together over millions of years.
Collectors and lapidary enthusiasts love it for its durability, polish, and natural beauty. For us, it’s more than just a stone—it’s a piece of Bucca’s natural and cultural heritage.
